The first agrarian insurance payment was made on the cotton field at the branch of "MKT IK" LLC

The first insurance payment was made on cotton fields within the framework of agrarian insurance implemented with state support in Azerbaijan.

This is the first insurance payment for cotton fields after the introduction of state-supported agricultural insurance in Azerbaijan. In connection with the insurance payment, on January 21, 2022, at the event held at the cotton processing plant of "MKT Production Commercial" LLC located in Aghjabadi district, the management of the Agrarian Insurance Fund and "MKT Production Commercial" LLC, representatives of Agjabadi DAIM and other state institutions, farmers and businessmen working in agriculture and other fields participated.

At the event, the deputy chairman of the board of the Agrarian Insurance Fund, Firdovsi Agashirinov, indicated that the involvement of the cotton growing sector, which is one of the strategic directions in agriculture, into insurance not only protects the risks of farmers and companies working in this field, but also has a positive effect on the well-being of the residents of the region who benefit from cotton growing.

Speaking at the event, Vugar Aghayev, member of the Board of Directors and Chief Operating Officer of "MKT Production Commercial" LLC, said that he was satisfied with the operation of the agrarian insurance mechanism of the institution he represented. 

Launching a reliable insurance mechanism and issuing payments will help to protect many local farmers operating in this field from risks, in addition to "MKT Production Commercial" LLC.
