On August 24, 2023, "MKT Ishtishalat Kommersiya" LLC held an "Open Field Day" event at the company's Yevlax Innovation Farm with the participation of farmers, agronomists and foreign guests from different regions of our country. The event consisted of two parts and took place with the participation of more than 200 farmers and representatives of foreign companies.
Within the framework of the event, the guests got acquainted with more than 9 varieties of cotton cultivated in the Yevlax Innovation Farm of "MKT Ishtishalat Kommersiya" LLC with the aim of being suitable for the local climatic conditions of Azerbaijan. In addition, the participating farmers and agronomists participated in the evaluation questionnaire prepared about the cultivated varieties and shared their opinions about the varieties they observed.
In the second part of the event, representatives of foreign companies with significant experience in the field of cotton - "ProGen Tohum", "May Tohum", "Ceyhan Tohum", "Hekagro" and local representatives of "Sakhalinski" Kalium Gumat Company spoke and answered the questions of the event participants.
The purpose of the "Open Field Day" event is to develop relations between farmers and companies, to strengthen the dialogue between farmers and companies that provide services such as spraying and irrigation, as well as to inform farmers of the results of cotton trial planting carried out in innovation farms of "MKT İK" LLC. the development of the cotton sector in general, by introducing it, serves to increase the yield per quintal per hectare.
As a result of the company's cooperation with farmers over the years, following proper plant care procedures, applying drip and pivot irrigation systems, "MKT IK" LLC became the export leader in the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan throughout the months of 2022 and made great contributions to the development of cotton growing in our country. and has achieved important successes.
